- Instruments pierced with a hole, used in pre-Columbian times for the purpose of "seeing". Literally, "That by which one sees". Attribute of several deities such as Tezcatlipoca and Xiuhteuctli. According to the sources, could have been made of gold, in mosaic of feathers. Sometimes compared to a mirror.
