Scope note
The activity or process of the using a variety of data sources or methods to perform retrieval or research; examples could be sources for time, space, and actors. The desired result is qualitative research to reveal a comprehensive understanding of the issue at hand. Findings can be corroborated and any weaknesses in one set of data can be compensated for by the strengths of other data, thereby increasing the validity and reliability of the results.
