Scope note
A rose cut fashioned with 24 facets on the top side and a flat bottom side. This particular cut originated in Amsterdam in the 17th century, hence the name. The name, however, is only commonly used from the 18th century. The cut is to be distinguished from an 'Antwerp rose cut'.
