Refers to the pottery style found in the Hellenistic period in Egypt in the 3rd century BCE, named after the cemetery at Hadra near Alexandria where many vessels of this style were found. The style is characterized by funeral vases covered with a white slip and decorated with a variety of floral and animal designs in polychrome paint.
