Scope note
Lengths of woven or knitted cloth, typically measuring approximately 40 to 100 yards long, folded or rolled on a cylindrical paper board core. Often stored in an upright position on shelves or racks and wrapped in plastic or other protective material to prevent damage, these fabric rolls are used to create myriad textile products. They can be made of cotton, silk, wool, or synthetic fibers, depending on desired use.
