Scope note
Refers to any Christian clergy officially attached to a household or institution. It includes, for example, the clergy for the house of a sovereign or lord, for a castle, ship, garrison, regiment, or any group in an army or navy, for a college, school, workhouse, prison, cemetery, legislative chamber, or other public institution. The term may also be used in its original sense, in which case it refers to the priest or other clergy assigned to or in charge of services in a chapel.
