Describes phenomena that are not media-specific or can be realized in a large number of media, such as literature, art, film, or music. Transmedial phenomena can occur with narrative or conceptual content in the form of myths, legends, or cultural symbols that have become part of common discourse and lost their connection to any specific medium.
