Scope note
Usually restricted to usage in criminal law, the state or circumstance occurring when two or more parties agree or conspire to take some action, not necessarily for profit, but which makes all participants liable for an accident, crime, or debt arising out of the activity. Distinguished from "joint venture (economic concept)."
