Predictive modeling refers to any process used to create a statistical model of future behavior. In archaeological predictive modeling, analysis of quantifiable attributes from land that has undergone archaeological survey, such as soil types, vegetation, geomorphology, etc., is used to predict the archaeological sensitivity of unsurveyed areas.
