A genre of art that may incorporate concepts and research from mathematics, the physical sciences, biology, kinetics, telecommunications, or digital systems including computer coding. Works may be fashioned from pieces of found data or from archived and manipulated information. The final form of an information art work may or may not be a physical object, but one that incorporates some form of data.
