- An easement conferring on the owner of a dominant tenement rights in connection with water, such as the rights to draw water from a particular source or to discharge water onto another's land, or a right to enter another's land to open sluice gates in order to prevent flooding of the dominant tenement. Also, a natural right to use water flowing through a channel on one's land.
