Forms or outlines created by two curves that intersect in such a way so as to combine characteristics of oval and almond-shapes, being rounded on one end and pointed on the other. Examples include leaf-shaped arrowheads. To designate a plant or other thing that is composed of or possesses leaves or parts that resemble leaves, use "foliose."
