- Religious masquerades of the Igbo people of Africa, performed in the northcentral Igbo region on very special occasions, such as yam festivals and major events associated with kingship. It features monumental mask costumes in the form of a huge cylinder or cone bearing a complex tableau of miniature human, animal, bird, and spirit figures made of brightly-colored cloth stuffed with grass.
