Large standing wooden bird sculptures with long curved beak, rounded head, prominent belly, and sharp-cornered rectangular wings, usually standing on a hollow base. They are made for use primarily in central Senufo rituals, including Poro male initiation rites and funeral ceremonies for dignitaries.
