- Sacred gourds used in Luba villages in Central Africa by diviners to hold natural or manmade objects that are used in divination ceremonies. Distinct from "mboko (sculpture)", which are carved wooden figures of a woman carrying a bowl, used by the Luba people in ceremonies pertaining to divination or to the transfer of power.
