Scope note
Optical devices that give the illusion of depth and action when viewing two-dimensional images, by the use of one or more magnifying lenses or mirrors set in a boxlike enclosure and viewed through a small opening on one end. Usually used with special prints designed for the purpose, "perspective view prints."
