Scope note
Highly developed throwing-sticks of the Australian aborigines, known also in India, Africa, the Americas, and ancient Egypt, being basically curved or angular flat sticks designed so that they can be thrown so as to return to their starting point. They have been used in warfare, for hunting, and as recreational objects.
