Artists whose works can be expressed in a number of different media, in keeping with the paradigm of "transmediality." Transmedia artists may combine multiple disciplines or new media including Web portals and content, digital archives, social networks, blogs, or online games. Artists of this type often intend to confuse the roles of participant, creator, and observer.
