Campignian

- Refers to a European stone toolmaking period and culture that dates to the fourth millennium Before Present and is named for the site at Campigny, Haute-Normandie, France. Campignian culture began in the Mesolithic period, but it developed in the Neolithic period and spread throughout most of northern and central Europe and the British Isles.
