Lightweight composite panels consisting of two sheets of aluminum bonded to a polyethylene, polyurethane, or other core, and cut to standard measurements. These have been used as exterior cladding as well as for interior surface applications, and signage. Aluminum composite panels are increasingly used in museum storage and exhibition applications as a non-VOC-emitting material, safe to use around all museum object materials. For the material that aluminum panels are formed from use "aluminum composite material."
