ollama (Mesoamerican game)
- Scope note
- Precolumbian Mesoamerican ritual ball game. The game was played on a court shaped like a capital I with serifs and oriented north–south or east–west; it represented the heavens. Players, wearing heavy padding, used elbows, knees, and hips to knock a solid rubber ball into the opponent’s end of the court. A version of the game is still played today.
