Material comprising or derived from the long narrow leaves of species of seagrass in the genus Zostera, usually dried and used for packing material, stuffing cushions, as well as for weaving and in the manufacture of wall boards and in wall insulation. Not to be confused with plants of the freshwater genus Vallisneria, also called eelgrass (or tape grass).
