Prehistoric artifacts of uncertain function. Formed from short lengths of reindeer antler with a pierced end, and often decorated. 'Bâtons de commandement' was the term initially used for this class of artifacts, but made an assumption of function; bâtons percés, the more recent term, is descriptive of form rather than any presumed function.
