Belts decorated with conchos, circular, silver ornaments often further decorated with stamped decoration or semi-precious stones. Originated in the mid-1800s by Navajo (Diné) and Pueblo silversmiths. Contemporary concho belts frequently contain a variety of semi-precious stones and are widely made by Southwest Native American artisans.
