Scope note
Suits, generally intended for men, worn on formal occasions and at ceremonial events. Contemporary versions consist of a tuxedo-like suit with a tail coat, a starched shirt and collar, a white vest, white bow tie and black trousers with single or double stripe of satin running the length of the leg.
