Scope note
Long-sleeved, single- or double-breasted fitted jackets worn as the standard service attire for waiters. Typically cropped at the waist or thighs and fashioned from duck cloth or other durable fabrics that are white or black in color. Sometimes decorated with braids or other ornamentations and may be worn with an apron.
