Eggs created for and consumed at Easter. They are often gaily painted or dyed eggs (usually hardboiled or blown) decorated for Easter as gifts, or display pieces, or the objects of an Easter egg hunt. By extension, egg shaped trinkets of wood, porcelain, or other materials, sometimes bejewelled.
