Refers to the culture, style, and period associated with the later reigns of the Ming Dynasty from 1465-1487, in probably the Ch'eng Hua region of China. The style is typically characterized by the use of the so-called three color type: underglaze blue with an overglaze of green and red. Later wares used five-color decoration.
