Scope note
Refers to the period and culture associated with the Slavs, a distinct linguistic and ethnic group that came from Asia in the third or second millennium BCE, spread steadily across eastern Europe, and played an important role in the Medieval world, particularly during the Slavic migrations into Greece and central Europe during the sixth and seventh centuries CE.
