The figwort family of flowering plants, the order Lamiales, containing species with worldwide distribution. Notable for many ornamental garden plants, such as butterfly bush (Buddleja), Diascia, Nemesia, and many others. Some, such as the mullein (Verbascum), are troublesome weeds.
