Hand-held, long-bristled tools, typically mounted on a wooden or rubber handle, used to spread liquid adhesive on dry strips of wallpaper before they are applied to a wall or other surface. Sometimes also used to apply wallpaper paste directly on walls, ceilings, or other surfaces before the hanging process begins.
