Mechanized devices used to treat textile substrates with chemical bleaching agents, including chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, and hydrogen peroxide, thus removing any natural coloring matter responsible for diminishing the fabrics' whiteness. Fabrics are first fed through a guide roller and immersed in the bleaching solution by an immersion roller before being squeezed out and, oftentimes, steamed. These devices are typically comprised of three kiers, or vats, into which the substrates are fed and treated.
