Scope note
Hand sewing tools used to weave loose ends of yarn back into a hand-knitted item when completing a knitting work. These are long needles with two ends that taper to a semi-point at each end, which also include a single eye with a beveled edge that extends through the length of the needle. Due to their design features, these sewing tools can make use of shorter lengths of yarn more easily than conventional needles, and can finish large knitted items or items with multiple colors more rapidly than conventional needles.
