Mechanized devices designed to increase the thickness, compactness, and consistency of woolen fibers by subjecting woolen cloth to moisture, heat, friction, and pressure. Woolen cloth is first submerged in a vessel where it is treated with liquid; the wet cloth is then removed from the vessel by means of cylindrical rollers which agigate and beat the cloth before transferring it to a fulling box to be shrunk.
