warp beams
- Scope note
- Rotatable rollers horizontally attached to the back end of a loom on which warp threads are wound, ensuring that they are evently spaced, in preparation for weaving. These rollers, and the warp threads they hold, are manually tightened or slackened by means of a wheel controlling the tension of the beam.
