Surfaces, supported by a series of bars and posts, on which weavers sit while working at a loom. These benches are often ergonomically designed to be slightly tilted so that the weaver sits with their hips higher than their knees, thus shifting the workload to their thighs for increased comfort through the duration of the weaving process. Though the benches are sometimes built into the looms themselves, most are separate from and placed in front of the loom.
