Scope note
Drums with two membranes, one of which is beaten, the other forming part of the lacing device. They are generally cylindro-conical in shape, with parallel straight sides on the upper part, the remainder taking the form of a truncated cone. They are common in Uganda and adjoining parts of East Africa.
