A type of mixed lace of which the closed parts are made from Brussels Duchesse lace and the spaces in between are filled with a light mesh in needle lace. Characteristic of English lace are the refined patterns with natural motifs and elegant decorations such as stars, reliefs, and eyelets, applied in both bobbin and needle lace.
