aerinite (pigment)

- Pigment composed largely of the mineral aerinite, a light blue clay mineral. An example of usage as a pigment is in Romanesque mural paintings of southwestern France. It is resistant to chemicals, heat, and light although it changes to a green-blue shade when heated.
