Scope note
A soft Italian verd antique from Prato, Italy that is deep olive green with dark green spots and veins of clear green and white. It was first used by the ancient Greeks and Romans and continues to be used in modern times; it was notably used for much of the exterior decoration of the cathedral in Florence.
