hāra
- Scope note
- In Indian architecture, a balustrade or cloistered parapet; for example, in the superstructure, most often includes the kuta and sala aediculae. May serve as a connecting wall-segment or parapet of the upper storey. Often wrongly interpreted to be the recess between the wall-angas.
