- Scope note
- Headdresses worn by Haudenosaunee men, consisting of a structure of wood and leather fitted to the head with a variety of feathers attached to the top. Haudenosaunee Confederacy members arrange these feathers differently to represent their specific community. For example, Seneca men have one feather pointing upwards from the rest of the assemblage. Sometimes a band of beads or wampum is also included across the brow of the headdress.
