- Watercraft of Frisian origin characterized by an open hull and rounded frame shape, sometimes built with a peak at the prow. The head of the rudder usually includes a decorative carving. Tjotters are adapted for navigating in shallow canals with bridges, and were originally used for fishing and transport of goods and people, but also for pleasure craft.
