Scope note
Protestant church buildings erected for persecuted believers as a result of church reductions in the territories of Upper and Lower Lusatia, which had belonged to Saxony since 1635, Protestant Brandenburg, and religiously tolerant Poland. Other border churches were erected in the Piast Principalities of Liegnitz, Wohlau, and Brzeg, and in the Podiebrad Duchy of Oels.
