Toi moko

- Human remains comprising preserved heads of Māori indigenous people of New Zealand, valued because the faces had been decorated by tā moko tattooing. The remains were valuable trade items during the Musket Wars of the early 19th century. Many of the remains were repatriated to Te Papa Tongarewa in 2014.
