- Brazilian art movement, that emerged from the Concrete Art movement in Latin America and internationally. Neo-Concrete artists emerged from Grupo Frente. They rejected the purism of Concrete Art and created works that were less scientific, and more phenomenological observations, with greater sensuality, color, and poetic feeling. The group was active from 1959-1961. Their manifesto was written by Ferreira Gullar, and was signed by Amilcar de Castro, Ferreira Gullar, Franz Weissmann, Lygia Clark, Lygia Pape, Reynaldo Jardim and Theon Spanudis. It was published on 22 of March 1959 in Journal do Brazil.
