Scope note
Process of dismantling buildings or other large constructions in a way that allows the reuse of materials and minimum negative impact on the surrounding structures or environment. It prioritizes salvaging materials for reuse or recycling. It is in contrast to the traditional demolition processes that use heavy machinery to raze structures and dump the debris in landfills.
