Scope note:

Blue-green monoclinic crystalline mineral, a hydrated basic phosphate of copper and zinc. Technical examination in 2008 revealed that veszelyite was used as a pigment in mosaic and polychrome masks and funerary offerings from the royal tombs of Calakmul, Mexico.
