Scope note:

Middle Minoan pottery characterized by the use of new technology, the potter's wheel, to create sophisticated shapes that have extremely delicate walls, so thin as to be reminiscent of an eggshell. It was produced primarily at the palaces of Knossos, Phaistos, and Mallia.
