Hides or skins that have been stripped from a dead animal, with hair, wool, or feathers attached; the legs, tail, and head may also be attached. For skins with hair that are used as a material, prefer "pelt (animal material)." For pelts mounted and represented as a three-dimensional animal, use "taxidermy mounts."
